State of Nature emerged out of the Boston area in January 2019. The varying musical influences from original members Steve Tracy (guitar, keys, vocals), Joe Miller (vocals), and Nathan Sayer (drums) created an authentic sound and song-writing process. After celebrating 5 years playing together, the group has welcomed Mark Tracy on second guitar and Jake Patkin on bass to rise to their full potential. Mark released his first solo career album, episodes, in December 2024. SoN's first album Social Contract (2020) is a concept album conveying a tale of adventure, temptation, loss, and gratitude. "Social Contract" was recorded entirely remotely and produced during the COVID-19 pandemic, giving it both a unique sound and story. With the wisdom of friend and producer bob familiar , State of Nature release their second studio album in early 2025.
